Past Events

This meeting has been cancelled because of too many people having other commitments. Our next zoom planning meeting is on 9 January.

Our fortnightly planning meetings are a good way to meet others from the Wandsworth group and get involved in planning future events. If you're new and prefer just to take a back seat and observe for a bit, that's fine. All welcome - in January!

It is now a bit of a tradition for Green Santa and his Elves to turn up at Southside Shopping Centre on a Saturday before Christmas for singing, dancing and spreading the message that showing your love doesn't have to mean buying a whole load of 'stuff'. And why break with a tradition if it's a good one? We'll be outside Southside from 11am to 1pm, then heading off to a nearby pub - do join us. All welcome!

As carbon emissions rise and the UK awards new oil and gas licences, on the last day of COP28, we ask "ARE YOU OK WITH THIS?" Join us outside Downing Street for an hour's silent vigil.

Outside courts across England & Wales, 100s of people will once again be sharing the message that jurors have an ABSOLUTE RIGHT to acquit a defendant according to their CONSCIENCE. Do join us at the Old Bailey on 4 December.

You have to sign up to take part in this action - you can do so here: https://actionnetwork.org/forms/interested-in-the-campaign?clear_id=true

Join us on Chelsea Bridge from 10.30 to 12pm to raise awareness about air pollution and pollution of our waterways. We'll be leafleting and gathering signatures for the Great Water Clean Up petition. All welcome!

Our regular online planning meeting will now be in person to enable people to join us outside Wandsworth Town Hall between 5pm and 7.30pm  as the WBC Planning Committee arrive to decide on the proposed Wimbledon development by the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Then come to the XRW planning meeting  from 7.30 in The Brewers Inn, the pub opposite the town hall. All welcome!!

A talk by XR's Rob Callender about global debt cancellation. The talk will be followed by questions and discussion.

Hosted by XR Wandsworth.

All welcome!

Please register for the talk here so we have an idea of numbers

Owing to bad weather, this will not be happening today.

We'll be on the pavement outside Asda at Clapham Junction from 2pm for a couple of hours. We will have Lu’s series of climate catastrophe photos (which accompanied the Pipeline of Death at Oily Money Out) and we'll be asking people to sign the Dirty Water petition, handing out XR Wandsworth pink flyers and talking to passersby. Do join us - doesn't have to be for the full 2 hours. The more people the better!
